Am so glad the its only 4 more weeks to end of semester! Its been a bruising year. I have observed changes in myself, and my evaluation is that I'm not happy with them. I think I have not grown as a person, and perhaps, even stagnated and backslid in more ways than one. Yet, His mercies lift me up, and continue to give me hope.
God is ever-present. Emmanuel, remember?
So, you pick yourself up, and you prepare to face the challenges of life. One of the ways you pick yourself up is to give yourself a "retreat". Retreating from the busyness of life, to allow yourself the opportunity to be recharged, refreshed and renewed.
And He is a never-ending source of refreshment.
Thanks too for a good boss! Someone who tries very hard to understand, and supports, inspite of the many limitations and restraints he himself has to face.
Today was our last service in FGA Kota Damansara. We hope to begin attending FGA Selayang, where it all began almost 14 years ago, when a group of home fellowships came together under the leadership of Pastor David Goh, to begin what would be the 1st satellite church of FGA KL.
Here in FGA Selayang, we experienced the mighty move of the Holy Spirit in the early and mid 90's. What a time of refreshing! I too "entered the River", and was changed forever. And yet, how soon the "cares and anxieties ( and riches! )" of the world causes one to leak very badly.
Yet again, He is an inexhaustible supplier.
We only need to come to Him in our weariness and burdens, and learn once again, to take His yoke, which He shares with us, to find "rest for our souls".
Sorry psychology, as much as you are supposed to mean the study of souls ( psychology from the Greek, psuche - soul, and logos, the study of ), you cannot plumb the depths of the human soul. That ability is only left to the Creator of the soul, and the Only One who can truly provide therapy which lasts.
