The Work of a Head of Department

I work as a Head of Department for a higher education provider.

I think I can summarize my scope of works, roughly, as follow:

1. Leadership of the Business Growth segment - increase student numbers and increase student enrolment from semester to semester.

2. Leadership of the Academic track - ensuring high standards and quality of teaching and assessment for the programs under my responsibility.

3. Leadership of every People & Admin Process designed to ensure that #1 & 2 is a sustainable success.

In coming blogs, I will endeavor to build on these 3 major scopes of work. This attempt at blogging is a part of my own learning process as a leader, learning to lead in real-time.
