Right now I've got Jessie in India ( specifically, Mysore ), Carissa in HELP CF camp situated in Malaysia Bible Seminari's new premises in Kuang, and only Rachel at home with me.
I do feel a little dislocated. I think Carissa and Rachel is feeling somewhat the same too. Home is not really home when someone you love is not around. The connections of the heart says that there is a gap or two. Proximity is needful for relationships to blossom and continue to grow. At the same time, the adage 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' is certainly true as well.
I guess it's good for there to be a little separation from the one you love from time to time. It helps us keep things in perspective. It helps us realize how much we take one another's presence for granted. For me, this 13 days apart from Jessie, and especially because of the Raya holiday, I've had time to ponder and reflect on many things. I've had time to read and think a lot. And that's been helpful. We need spaces of just space in between periods of much labor and activities.
