Yeayy ... it went well!

Yup, glad to report that the evacuation drill at my office building - Wisma HELP - went well. The fire officer from Hartamas Station, Sarjan Latiff, gave us "5 bintang". And he pointed out many areas for improvement. It was an eye-opener, and a reinforcement to be "better safe than sorry". I'm glad for a great bunch of colleagues ( Cindy Chow, Noel & Sam, and a whole lot of others who operated as Floor wardens, and led this effort ) who worked together to pull this off. I have to say that it is a relief that its finally over! It weighed on me for the past one week. So, the relief is palpable.

And thank God its Friday! Weekend coming up, a very productive and ( busy ) weekend with speaking engagements. It's an awesome privilege when you have the opportunity to touch many lives. No wonder the pulpit, or rostrum, or podium is a place of great & solemn responsibility. Maybe just as well as many have a fear for public speaking. That becomes the first filter to ensure only the most worthwhile message gets through. Of course, there are many more who has a worthwhile message which needs releasing but are obstructed by fear.

I love this time of the year, without datelines of any sort - coming up with questions, answer marksheets, assignments, marking them, lessons preps, student projects ... the list can be quite long. It's a time to rest, renew, reflect and research!

I'm blessed! Imagine having as a career something which you actually enjoy, and is almost a hobby, or that which gives great satisfaction ...

So what will you be doing this weekend? Well, whatever you find to do, make sure you add value, okay?
