There is nothing like it! Imagine, God's very nature created in human beings! No more snivelling and grovelling in the dirt. Only a quiet and humble confidence which springs from God's grace.
Many who grew up in the church think that Jesus Christ saved them from sin and the devil, and to be re-made in the model of Adam before his fall. How wrong is this understanding!
In the epistle of Paul to the Ephesians, in chapter 2, verse 15, the second part, is the germ of this secret : 'for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;'
Christ Jesus Himself is the model for the believer saved from sin and the devil's rule. A very careful reading of the whole Ephesian epistle will make this clear. This new creation in Christ believer walks by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). And he or she is unbeatable. Not with an arrogant air, but as mentioned earlier, in quiet and humble confidence knowing that their identity is secured in Christ, and all that they think, speak and do, in enabled and empowered by Christ's Spirit, the Holy Spirit Himself, living the life of Christ in and through them.
No wonder Paul exulted in the overcoming faith of the believer; because it is not their faith, but what Jesus Himself referred to in Mark 11:22, 'Have the faith of God'. Just a single proposition with a world of implication!
