It's always good to be Clean!

The impending focus on cleanliness in KL on July 9th did not stop a class of college undergrads from performing the classic Tennesse Williams' play, "A Streetcar Named Desire", the night before. Fathers, mothers, siblings, friends and fellow coursemates, as well as lecturers turned up at Theatrette 1, Level 4, HELP College of Arts & Technology, on July 8th, at 7pm, to watch the Literature 200 class perform.

The students out-did themselves. They, with the able guidance of their lecturer, Ms Lilian Leong, stretched themselves to obtain a stage at the very last minute, came up with their own props, designed a choral speaking element into the play, improvised with hand-held curtains, threw in a bed, and put up a jolly good show.

Literature class will never be the same again. And this is the essence of experiential learning - a hallmark of the American educational system. The idea is to get the idea not only within the cognitive realms of the student, but also into their subconscious for deep learning.

The Center for SNHU Programs of HELP College of Arts and Technology salutes Ms Lilian Leong and her cohort of enterprising young people for persevering amidst much challenges, to pull off a job well done.
