The Secret of Thanksgiving

I am thankful that I am saved from a Christ-less eternity through faith in Christ Jesus.
My eternal future is assured.
I am thankful that I am blessed with a lovely, vibrant and lively mate in Jessie.
My life-long companion is secured.
I am thankful for two super lovely daughters, Carissa and Rachel.
My heritage is sure.
I am doing what I really love doing - working with young people in education.
My professional life is settled.
I am thankful that my prayers are answered by a gracious and loving God.
My spiritual life is save.

Many times, we only need to obey the Scriptures in the area of always giving thanks.
We have nothing not to give thanks for.
No situation is hopeless because our God is both inside that situation and can emphatise,
as well as outside the situation that He can take us out.

My greatest challenge is in my work-place, specifically, my senior management.
It could have been a lot worse. I can still be thankful.
Now I need to make a continual choice to see beyond the immediate circumstances,
and always to believe that because I trust in God, His character will be seen in His
control over these circumstances.

I will see beyond the management. I will see beyond the problems of management.
I will see beyond the challenges, and trust God to intervene in His good time. And
I will learn to give thanks in everything, inspite of adverse circumstances, and
especially in adverse circumstances, I will be thankful that through these adverse
circumstances, I have an opportunity to learn, and grow.

God is good ALL the time, and ALL the time, God is good. I will believe this truth,
think this truth, speak this truth, and live in this truth.
