1. Finally! The MQA visit came and went, and what a valuable lesson it was! I am very thankful to my colleagues, especially Mary Hong and Natalie Kan, without whom, this exercise would have been impossible. They provided leadership! Such capable ladies.
The MQA assessors were highly knowledgeable and mature. They gave us very constructive feedback. They told us the truth, and they told it graciously. What a lesson! Thank you Professor Madya Dr Nik Mustasim, and Dr Mohd Che. Thanks too to Cik Farah.
2. My heart goes out to the mother of the 15-year who were shot by "police". Just imagine, if these are the goons who are supposed to protect us, who will protect us from the "bad guys". And who are the bad guys now?!
Let's see whether they will be any substance at all to what Hishamuddin said. Not to mention the host of other politicians from both sides of the divide.
In the meantime, our hearts are with the young lad's family. Whilst I do not condone the law breaking act of the 15-year old in taking off with his sister's car, neither do I condone the lack of restraint, composure and professionalism of the part of the police.
3. Post Hulu Selangor "buy-elections"!
Do you get the feeling that PR has lost their way? And whilst all this is going on, PR 'de facto' head is still on the international speaker's circuit! You wonder ... and I wonder if PR is a hopeless cause with the current leadership of PKR? DAP and PAS should be a model to PKR. It is shameless to see how PKR is laden with "frogs". DSAI would appear to be a poor seizer up of persons.
I think all is not lost. I only know that for Malaysia to have a chance of moving forward in all dimensions of nation building, BN MUST GO!!!
And I urge the BOLD, WISE and COURAGEOUS leaders of PR to re-look, face reality ( as Jack Welch was fond of not just saying, but also doing ), admit where they are going wrong, and take steps to change - there's salvation in this.
4. I am gung-ho about the American Degree Program in HELP International College of Technology. The Southern New Hampshire University 4 +0 is an awesome deal for students. Just imagine, 4 years and you spend just under RM50k, and you get a quality education based on a quality US university, with a US degree!
To top it all ... we've got BSc ( Bus ) with majors in International Business, Marketing and Business Administration, as well as a BA in Communication and Psychology ( two programs ).
5. MU - I remain firm that continues success for MU is only guaranteed if Jose Mourinho becomes Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement. It will be disaster is anybody else gets the job. It will be a repeat of Sir Matt Busby being replaced by Frank Farrell way back in the early 70's.
Alright, time to go.
All the best, and God Bless you all!
Franklin
